Tunesemble

Terms of Use

Last updated: 29 October 2026

The short version

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Tunesemble (“we”, “us”) for using the Tunesemble app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Tunesemble is currently in a pre-launch testing phase and is run by its founders in Germany. The full legal name and address of the operator will be added here before the public launch. Contact: hello@tunesemble.com.

2. Who can use Tunesemble

You must be at least 16 years old. You need an account, created with Sign in with Apple or your email address. Keep your sign-in secure, because you are responsible for what happens on your account. One person per account.

3. Testing phase

Tunesemble is still being built. During testing, features may change, be removed or stop working, and we may need to reset test data. We’ll give you notice where we can. Please don’t use Tunesemble as the only place you keep a recording you care about.

4. Your content

“Your content” means the audio, video, titles, comments and profile details you add to Tunesemble.

You keep ownership

You keep all rights you have in your content.

What you allow us to do

You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, copy, process, mix, encode and show your content, but only to run and improve the Service. For example, we combine your take with the backing and other parts into a finished jam. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which are overwritten within 30 days.

What you allow other users to do

Making music together is the point of Tunesemble. When you make a jam public, other users can watch and listen to it, and join it by recording their own parts with your part playing alongside. The jams they make with your part can be watched within Tunesemble like any other public jam. You allow this for as long as your jam is public on Tunesemble. Other users may not take your content out of Tunesemble or use it for anything else without your permission. Private jams are visible only to you.

You need the right to share it

Only record and share content you have the right to share. If you perform a song someone else wrote, you are responsible for any permission or licence it needs. Only include other people in a recording if they agree to it.

5. Community rules

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Don’t post or record content that:

Also don’t try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get unauthorised access to the Service or other people’s accounts.

If you see content or behaviour that breaks these rules, report it to hello@tunesemble.com. We review reports, remove content that breaks the rules and, where needed, suspend or close the account responsible.

6. Our content

The app, its design, and the backing instruments and sounds it provides belong to us or to the people we license them from. Some are used under third-party licences, listed in the app under Settings › Credits. You may use them inside Tunesemble to make jams. You may not extract the sounds, or redistribute them on their own outside Tunesemble.

7. Price

Tunesemble is free to use right now. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll explain the price and terms clearly before you pay anything. Nothing you already have will start costing money without your agreement.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we’ll tell you why unless the law prevents it. We may also end the Service as a whole. If we do, we’ll give you reasonable notice so you can save your jams.

9. Liability

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).

For slight negligence, we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for the Service to work and that you can normally rely on (a “cardinal obligation”). In that case our liability is limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of service.

Because the Service is free and in testing, we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Tunesemble develops. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account before then.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country.
